Questions families ask about Wellsy
Wellsy is a home-visit family doctor membership in the East Valley of Arizona. If your question isn't here, ask when your waitlist spot opens.
Cost
How much does Wellsy cost?
Wellsy costs $149 a month for one person (Individual), $279 a month for two people (Couples), and $349 a month for a family of up to 4 (Family). Each extra family member is $49 a month, so a family of 5 is $398. The Newborn plan is $199 a month, or $169 for families already on Wellsy. Focused plans for women's health, women's hormone therapy, men's health, men's testosterone therapy and weight loss are $149 a month each on their own. They come with the Individual and Family plans at no extra cost. Signature is $949 a month, or $999 a month for up to 6 family members. Individual, Couples and Family plans each have a one-time $79 enrollment fee. The Newborn plan and the women's health, women's HRT, men's health and men's TRT plans have a one-time $99 reservation fee. When your spot is offered, enroll by November 30 and we waive the $79 enrollment fee on Individual, Couples and Family plans.
What costs extra?
Unless your plan lists them, labs, scans, specialist visits and medicine are billed separately. Before you join, we show you what costs extra and how to cancel.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Membership is month to month. Cancel any time.
Is there a referral offer?
Yes. Refer a friend and get 50% off your first month.
Insurance, HSA and Medicare
Is Wellsy insurance?
No. Wellsy is a monthly membership for your family doctor. It does not replace insurance.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?
Maybe. It depends on your account and the plan you pick. Some memberships count for HSAs, and some don't. Please ask your HSA or FSA plan administrator, or a tax advisor, before you pay with those funds.
Can I join if I have Medicare?
Yes. Our doctor has opted out of Medicare, so Medicare and Medigap won't pay for Wellsy visits. You pay your membership yourself. Before your first visit, you'll sign a short agreement that explains this. You keep your Medicare, and you can still see any doctor who bills Medicare.
Do you take Medicaid?
Wellsy does not bill Medicaid (AHCCCS). If you have Medicaid, please talk with us before you join.
House calls
What is a Wellsy house call?
A house call, or home visit, means your doctor comes to you. At Wellsy, the house call is the main way you see your doctor. Wellsy makes house calls in parts of Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler, Queen Creek and San Tan Valley.
Who comes to the house?
Your Wellsy doctor, Dr. Dustin Durham, MD, a family medicine physician. We will list his license and NPI numbers once they are confirmed.
Do we see the same doctor each time?
That is the goal. Wellsy is built so the same doctor knows your family over time. We share scheduling details before you join.
When do visits happen?
House calls and clinic visits happen Monday to Saturday. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and Saturday, 10 AM to 3 PM.
Is Wellsy a clinic or a house-call service?
The home visit is the default. For care that needs equipment we can't bring, your doctor books a clinic visit. We share the clinic location before you join.
Can you handle prescriptions and referrals?
Yes. Your doctor can prescribe and manage refills, and sets up referrals. Unless your plan lists the medicine, the pharmacy bills for it. Specialists bill you separately.
Membership
How does the Wellsy membership work?
Pick a plan for one person, two people or your family. Your doctor comes to you for house calls, sees you at the clinic when needed, handles prescriptions and referrals, and keeps your history in one place.
How does Wellsy make care more personal?
Time. A doctor with fewer families can come to your home, stay longer, and remember what happened last time.
Is Wellsy direct primary care or concierge medicine?
These are two common ways doctors run membership practices. Direct primary care (DPC): patients pay the practice a flat fee every month, quarter or year. The fee covers all or most primary care. These practices usually don't bill insurance. Concierge care: patients pay a membership, often a higher yearly fee. Concierge practices may still bill insurance for covered services. Can a family doctor see my kids?
Yes. Family medicine doctors care for people of all ages. Kids 2 and up go on the Individual, Couples or Family plan.
When is a newborn's first visit?
At your home, when your baby is 2 to 5 days old.

How does the address check work?

No. Call 911 for emergency care.
Is Wellsy the same as urgent care?
